Best Time to Visit Qatar
The ideal time to visit Qatar with a family is between November and March. During these months, the weather is pleasantly cool, ranging from 18°C to 25°C, making outdoor activities and park visits very comfortable. Summers (June to September) can be extremely hot, with temperatures often exceeding 40°C, which limits outdoor time to early mornings or late evenings.
Currency & Money
The local currency is the Qatari Riyal (QAR). Credit and debit cards are accepted almost everywhere, including small shops in the Souq. While tipping isn't mandatory, it is appreciated; rounding up the bill or leaving a 10-15% tip at restaurants is common practice. ATMs are widely available across all cities.
Getting Around Qatar
Getting around is incredibly easy thanks to the Doha Metro, which is clean, fast, and has dedicated family sections. For intercity travel to Al Khor or Lusail, hiring a car or using ride-hailing apps like Uber or Karwa is recommended. Most taxis and Ubers are modern, air-conditioned, and can accommodate strollers in the trunk without issue.
