The best time for this luxury expedition is from late June to mid-September. During these months, the high-altitude passes of the Pamir Highway are clear of snow, and the weather is pleasantly warm in the valleys. Autumn (September and October) is also beautiful, offering golden landscapes and harvest festivals, though nights in the mountains begin to get very cold.
