Best Time & Weather
The best time to visit Taipei is during the autumn months from October to December. During this period, the weather is pleasantly cool and dry, with average temperatures ranging from 20°C to 25°C. Spring (March to May) is also beautiful with cherry blossoms, though it can be more humid. Summers are very hot and prone to typhoons, while winters are mild but often drizzly.
Currency & Money
The local currency is the New Taiwan Dollar (TWD). While high-end establishments, hotels, and luxury malls widely accept major credit cards like Visa and Mastercard, Taipei remains a cash-friendly city. Getting Around

The city is very walkable in specific districts like Xinyi and Da'an, and taxis are plentiful, clean, and highly regulated. For longer trips to Beitou or the outskirts, the private car remains the most comfortable option.
