Best Time & Weather

Singapore is a year-round destination with a tropical climate, meaning it is consistently warm and humid. For families, the best time to visit HarbourFront is between February and April when it is slightly less rainy. However, even during the wetter months of November to January, HarbourFront is an excellent choice because the major attractions like VivoCity and HarbourFront Centre are interconnected and fully indoors, providing ample shelter from tropical downpours.

Currency & Money

The local currency is the Singapore Dollar (SGD). Credit and debit cards are accepted almost everywhere, including most stalls at the Seah Im Food Centre via QR codes or contactless payment. Tipping is not a standard practice in Singapore as a 10% service charge is usually added to the bill in restaurants. It is always handy to keep a few small notes for public transport or very small heritage stalls.

Getting Around

HarbourFront is one of Singapore’s most well-connected hubs. The HarbourFront MRT station serves as an interchange for the North-East Line and the Circle Line, making it incredibly easy to reach from anywhere in the city. Within the district, everything is designed for accessibility. Elevators are plentiful, and the Sentosa Express monorail, Cable Cars, and buses all accommodate strollers easily. Use the 'Citymapper' or 'Google Maps' apps for real-time bus and train schedules.
