Best Time to Visit Portugal
The ideal time for this luxury route is during the shoulder seasons: Spring (April to June) and Autumn (September to October). During these months, the weather is pleasantly warm, the Douro Valley vineyards are either lush green or vibrant gold, and the crowds at major monuments are manageable. Summer (July and August) can be extremely hot in the Alentejo, while Winter (November to March) can be rainy, though Porto’s moody atmosphere remains charming.
