Best Time to Visit Panama
The best time to visit Panama is during the dry season, known locally as 'Verano' (Summer), which runs from mid-December to mid-April. This is the ideal window for the San Blas islands and hiking in Boquete. However, for whale watching in the Pacific (Boca Chica), you should aim for July through October. While it may rain more during these months, the showers are usually brief and the landscapes are spectacularly lush.
Currency & Money
Panama uses the US Dollar (USD) as its official currency, alongside the Panamanian Balboa (which is pegged 1:1 and only exists in coins). Credit cards are widely accepted in high-end hotels and restaurants in Panama City, Boquete, and Bocas del Toro.
