Day 1: Oslo, Norway - Arrival & City Introduction

Best Time to Visit Norway
The best time for a family trip to Norway is during the summer months (June to August). This period offers the mildest weather, with temperatures ranging from 15°C to 22°C (59°F to 72°F). More importantly, the 'Midnight Sun' provides long daylight hours, meaning you don't have to rush through your sightseeing. May and September are also beautiful but can be a bit cooler and some seasonal attractions might have shorter hours.
Currency & Money
The currency is the Norwegian Krone (NOK). Norway is almost entirely cashless; you can pay with a credit or debit card for everything from a hot dog at a convenience store to a bus ticket. Tipping is not mandatory, but it is common to round up the bill or leave about 5-10% at restaurants if the service was exceptional. ATMs are widely available, but you likely won't need much physical cash.
Getting Around Norway
