Mutrah Souq

Best Time & Weather
The best time to visit Muscat with a family is between October and March. During these months, the weather is pleasantly warm, with daytime temperatures ranging from 20°C to 30°C (68°F to 86°F), making outdoor activities and beach visits very comfortable. Summers (May to September) can be extremely hot, often exceeding 40°C (104°F), which limits activities to indoor malls and museums.
Currency & Money
The local currency is the Omani Rial (OMR). Credit cards are widely accepted in malls, hotels, and most restaurants. However, it is useful to carry some cash for small purchases at the Mutrah Souq or for tipping.
