Best Time & Weather
The best time to visit Kuwait City is during the cooler months from November to March. During this period, temperatures range from 15°C to 25°C (59°F to 77°F), making outdoor activities and park visits very comfortable. Summers (June to September) are extremely hot, often exceeding 45°C (113°F), which limits activities to indoor malls and museums.
Currency & Money
The local currency is the Kuwaiti Dinar (KWD), which is one of the highest-valued currencies in the world. Credit and debit cards are universally accepted in malls, hotels, and most restaurants. However, it is useful to carry some cash for smaller purchases at Souq Al-Mubarakiya. Tipping is appreciated but not mandatory; 10% is standard in upscale restaurants.
Getting Around
The most convenient way for families to get around is by taxi or ride-sharing apps like Careem. While there is a public bus system, it is not ideal for tourists with strollers.
