This itinerary focuses on the main island of Viti Levu, specifically the Nadi area and the stunning Coral Coast, ensuring minimal travel time and maximum relaxation.

Day 1: Nadi, Fiji - Arrival & Island Life

Port Denarau Marina Exploration

Visit these lush botanical gardens at the foot of the Sabeto Mountains. The main paths are gravel and relatively flat, making it a peaceful morning walk through thousands of orchids and tropical plants.
Vuda Point Marina Lunch
A hidden gem north of Nadi, this marina offers a circular layout with a grassy lawn where kids can play while parents enjoy a meal by the water. It is very quiet and accessible.
Souvenir Shopping at Tappoo City
Head back into Nadi town for some air-conditioned shopping. Tappoo City is a modern department store with elevators, making it easy to browse for authentic Fijian crafts with a stroller.
Sunset at Wailoaloa Beach
End your trip with a sunset walk on Wailoaloa Beach. The sand is firm enough for strollers near the water's edge, and there are many family-oriented beach clubs for a final tropical juice.

The best time to visit Fiji for a family trip is during the dry season, which runs from May to October. During these months, the weather is sunny and the humidity is lower, making it much more comfortable for children and outdoor activities. July and August are popular but can be busier, so consider May, June, or September for a quieter experience.

While most major resorts, tour operators, and shops in Port Denarau accept major credit cards, it is essential to carry some cash for local markets and smaller shops in Sigatoka. Getting Around Fiji
