The Itinerary
Day 1: Beijing, China - Imperial Arrival & Ancient Alleys

Lunch & Jingshan Park

Hutong Rickshaw Tour

Day 4: Xi'an, China - Warriors & Walls
Terracotta Army Museum

Xi'an is famous for its dumplings shaped like different animals (pigs, ducks, frogs), which are always a hit with kids for lunch.

Best Time to Visit China
The best time for this Beijing-Xi'an route is during the shoulder seasons: Spring (April to May) and Autumn (September to October). During these months, the weather is mild and comfortable for outdoor walking. Summer can be very hot and humid, while Winter in Northern China is quite cold. Try to avoid the 'Golden Week' (first week of October) and Chinese New Year, as tourist sites become extremely crowded.
Currency & Money
The local currency is the Chinese Yuan (CNY/RMB). While cash is still accepted, China is a leader in mobile payments.
