Best Time to Visit China
The ideal time for a family trip to China is during the Spring (April to May) or Autumn (September to October). During these periods, the weather is temperate and comfortable for walking, and the scenery is at its most beautiful. Avoid the 'Golden Week' (first week of October) and Chinese New Year, as crowds are immense and travel becomes significantly more difficult.
Currency & Money
The local currency is the Renminbi (RMB), often called Yuan. China is nearly a cashless society; while cash is accepted at major sites, most transactions occur via Alipay or WeChat Pay. It is highly recommended to set up Alipay with an international credit card before arrival. Tipping is not a common practice in China and is generally not expected in restaurants or taxis.
Getting Around China
