This itinerary utilizes the efficient purple bus system in Bandar Seri Begawan and local speedboats to keep costs low while ensuring you see the highlights from the city center to the oil-rich districts of the west and the green heart of Temburong.
Day 1: Bandar Seri Begawan - Arrival & Royal Heritage
Arrival & Airport Bus
Landing at Brunei International Airport, skip the expensive taxis and take the purple public bus (Lines 23, 24, 34, 36, or 38) for just BND 1.00 into the city center terminal.
Tamu Kianggeh Market
Visit this traditional open-air market located by the river. It's the perfect spot for a budget lunch, where you can find local snacks like Nasi Katok for just BND 1.00.
Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque
Marvel at one of the most beautiful mosques in the Asia-Pacific. Entry is free (outside prayer times), and the artificial lagoon provides a perfect photo opportunity of the golden dome.
