Best Time & Weather
The best time to visit Avignon is during the late spring (May to June) or early autumn (September to October). During these months, the weather is pleasantly warm, ranging from 20°C to 25°C, and the heavy crowds of the July Theater Festival have either not arrived or have already departed. Summers can be very hot, often exceeding 30°C, while winters are mild but can be subject to the chilly Mistral wind.
